For a new bride (or groom), there’s nothing more special than a beautiful engagement ring. Not only are they gorgeous, but they also represent the beginning of your lives together. Step 1: Get in touch
Time: A few days
So, you’ve decided to design your own engagement ring – congratulations! Simply get in touch with our team via phone, email, or our website and a member of our team will come back to you within a few days. We’ll send you some rough initial quotes and arrange a time for you to come in and discuss the design of the ring. Whether you have already proposed with a diamond and want to design the ring with your fiancé, or you want to design the ring before proposing, we’re here to help. Overall the process will take 3-4 weeks, so make sure you take that into account.
Step 2: First appointment
Time: 1 week
Your first appointment is an opportunity for you to discuss your desired design and learn more about diamonds over a glass of bubbly or beer! Your diamond lesson will include:
- An explanation of the different characteristics of diamonds (the 5 Cs)
- How this affects the price
- The different shapes and cuts of diamond available
We know it can be challenging to come up with a design from scratch, so feel free to bring sources of inspiration and other ring designs that you admire. Our designers can also show you similar ring designs and features, before sketching some ideas for your perusal. In our experience, once you sit down with the designer and go through the different options available, you will quickly get an idea of the type of ring you’re looking for.
Step 3: Seeing the designs
Time: A few days
Now that we have a good idea of your desired ring design, we’ll send through a selection of designs and quotes over email. At this stage, if you do not already have a diamond for the ring, we will order one for you.
Step 4: Second appointment
Time: 1-2 weeks
At this point, we will need you to come in-store to approve the diamond and finalise the design. The next couple of weeks will involve our designers and craftsmen creating the masterpiece that is your engagement ring. Now, all you must do is wait…
Step 4: Pick up your ring
Time: A few days
It’s now time to pick up your ring and propose to your wonderful fiancé. We are so excited to have helped you in the process of designing the perfect ring.
